Four friends on a touring holiday of vampire country in Eastern Europe find themselves in an idyllic and mysterious village that turns out to be not what it seems. Why do so many residents have lopsided faces, for example. And why is everyone so sad? And why are mists so prevalent? And who lives in the mysterious castle on the hill? Gradually, the four friends uncover the village's secret, and figure out the fate that lies in store....

Offa's Dyke Flyer

I took this amazing bus journey once again today, and I urge every visitor to South Wales to try to do so too. My recommendation would be to board the bus at Llanvihangel Crucorney and spend a few hours in Hay on Wye before taking the bus back to LC. The first trip is amazing enough, through lovely Welsh countryside to the lovely town of Hay, but the return journey over the Black Hills is something else with some spectacular views. The weather today was excellent, and I spent several hours in the Hay bookshops, before returning to LC, where I had left my car.

Look up Roy Brown's coaches Service No B17.

Not the way to treat your fans.

Some of you may have seen my post about the beautiful woman I noticed in a Utube video. This turned out to be the French actress  Mylene Demangeot. I discovered she has a website and that this has a contact feature, and so I thought I would send her my compliments. This I did, but it appears the messages do not go to Ms Demangeot, but come back to the sender's own inbox. This displays a not very pleasant side of stardom. I therefore withdraw my compliments.

Capri.

Capri 1999.
The journey round that cliffside road in a bus driven by a crazy Italian bus driver was a pretty hair-raising experience.

Earl's Court London

I was in London on Saturday doing some research for The Investigators.
This is Nevern Square, Earls Court.
Some important scenes are going to be set here.
(I believe there is a very nice one-bedroom flat for sale here at about £500K.)

My part of the world.

From one of my favourite parking spots a few days ago.
(The Sugar Loaf and the Skirrid are just visible to the left.)
