New Release

Shortly after Mike and Geraldine Baker take over a hotel in a remote and beautiful Welsh valley, a mysterious object lands nearby. Mike thinks it is a meteorite, but the thing has several unusual features. Later, Mike dreams that the object is an egg. But, as Geraldine immediately points out, when was the last time anybody saw a stone egg fall from the sky?

Gradually, however, it turns out that Mike is nearer the truth than anyone care imagine, and , for the few people living in the valley, and for the tourists visiting it, heaven turns slowly into hell...

A steam train is about to set off.

The bus is about to leave the

Barry Yacht Club Saturday

The top photo illustrates the major problem with the Bristol Chanel as a
sailing area. The large tidal range. It is second only to the Bay of Fundy.

Falmouth Cornwall 18th-19th June 2014

I stayed at the Falmouth Town House Hotel
which I can strongly recommend. The welcome was warm
and the breakfast and room facilities excellent.
Besides, it is very convenient for the harbour.
I visited the Maritime Museum and its library.

The museum has a wide range of exhibits.

And the observation tower affords excellent views of the marina..
and the Carrick Roads

Travelling to Cornwall 18th June 2014

I stopped off at Plymouth for lunch and walked down to the Hoe.

Then I boarded the train for Cornwall. Here, we are about mid-way between Devon and Cornwall.
(With yours truly reflected in the carriage window.)
Now we are in Cornwall and looking back at Brunel's great bridge over The Tamar.
(Once again with window reflections.)
