Roman Caerleon

Isca - Legionary Fortress

The Second Augustan Legion moved here about 75AD, and Caerleon remained a major Roman location until about 240AD.

The entrance to the museum; inside the museum - which is much larger than it appears here, and, like everything else is beautifully kept and presented; a Roman gravestone; a Roman treasure trove; and the amphitheatre. Not shown, are the Roman baths, and the Roman barracks.
